Zelffie is a multi-dimensional project based on social media and its virtual world on the internet.

It is a multi-dimensional collaborative project  Tianyi Zhang and Ling Liu, which investigates the illusion of ideal icon figures.

Ling and Tianyi use social media, pseudo-documentary and performance to generate this young female idol happily discussing topics like pseudo-environment in a social media era and the politics behind.

With the movies, the advertisements, the music videos, the social media and even the public consensus, Zelffie is a vivid illusion of an “idol”.

This project exposes the process of the “idol producing” and reveals the  monster under the water to tell the truth of the illusion.
