Kathryn Zazenski (Poland) takes cues from theoretical physics, the cosmos, Traditional Chinese Medicine, astronomy and astrology, the popularization and appropriation of Eastern spirituality, language, lifestyle blogs, and reality TV. Movement, balance, invented systems of fracturing, layering, and looping are all tactics that are applied by the artist to audial and visual information, typically taken from a real environment and then manipulated to the point of abstraction. She is interested in the human capacity to conceptualize and concretize realities, in terms of a fluid truth and fiction.
