Maria Lopes
The Consciousness Field is a travelling interactive art installation where ideas about what consciousness is are collected. It was first created in 2009 for The Brain Unravelled exhibition in London at the Slade.
BIO
Maria Lopes (Portugal) is an artist-anthropologist with a particular interest in consciousness and neuroscience. She moved to London in 1996. In 2001 she started to paint, and in 2003 she curated her first show. In 2009 she declared: ‘Cogito et Sentio ergo Sum’.
